Extra-Curricular Activities

Clubs

We offer a range of lunchtime clubs led by our staff, giving children the opportunity to explore new interests, develop skills and spend their break times positively with friends.

Our lunchtime clubs currently include:

  • Gardening Club – helping children care for our outdoor environment and develop a love of nature.
  • Cross Country Club – encouraging fitness, determination and enjoyment of running.
  • Chess Club – developing strategic thinking, concentration and problem-solving skills.
  • Board Games Club – promoting teamwork, communication and friendly competition.
  • Choir Club – providing opportunities for children to sing together and build confidence through music.
  • STEM Club – inspiring curiosity through science, technology, engineering and mathematics challenges.

These clubs enrich our wider curriculum and help children discover new talents, interests and friendships beyond the classroom.

Music

We are lucky to work with some fantastic teachers who deliver individual music lessons for our pupils.

Individual music lessons should be booked and paid for by parents directly with the music teacher and spaces are limited. If your child is in receipt of pupil premium please let the teacher and school office know at the time of booking.

Lessons take place as follows:

Tuesday morning – piano (Mrs Willson)

Wednesday morning – guitar / ukelele (MG Music Tuition, Mr Green)

Thursday morning – drums (DCP Drums, Mr Sambidge)

Our KS2 choir meets on a Tuesday lunchtime and new members are always welcome. The choir has performed at exciting events such as the Leics Sings massed choir performance and the Bradgate Park Christmas Fayre.

Please follow the links below for further information and booking details. There is currently a waiting list for piano lessons.
