Using our Sports Funding Effectively
From 1st September 2013, each primary school received £8,000 plus £5 per pupil to help increase PE expertise in school. Although the funding is ring fenced for PE, schools are free to spend it however they wish, providing PE expertise and quality of PE teaching is improved. This funding should provide a lasting legacy as it was originally announced as only lasting for 2 years but recently this timescale has increased.
