We enjoy performing at the local Church at Harvest, Christmas and Easter. Rev Richard leads an Assembly within school from time to time and the children look forward to seeing him.
We hold our School fete at the same weekend as the Village’s Scarecrow Festival and are the venue for refreshments on the Saturday. Each year we enter the Scarecrow Competition and on many occasions we have won a prize!
We are on the rota for the village Coffee Morning and help by serving refreshments and performing for the visitors.
Bradgate Park run events for the local community such as a Winter and Summer Fayre. The children enjoy singing and performing at these events too. We also visit the park to enable us to share this wonderful resource we have on our doorstep.
We are grateful to Newtown Linford Cricket Club for letting us use their cricket ground to hold our annual Sports Day.
The Linford is used for our school productions due to enable a large audience. The PTA also use it and the Village Hall as the venue for School Discos. We are grateful for their support in letting us use their space.
We work with local charities and collect donations at Harvest, this year for The Bridge and Falcon Support Services.
Did you know that we are one of only a few schools to have a War Memorial Stone in our grounds? You can read more about how this came to be and the dedication ceremony which took place in 2015 in the Newtown Linford magazine.
